Handlung
Bernd Eichinger directs this brash romantic fantasy drama in which a smart, successful married woman finds herself deeply attracted to the literal incarnation of the devil. One day, a handsome, youthful-looking man calling himself Stanislaus Nagy (Til Schweiger), stumbles into the office of Cora Dulz (Corinna Harfouch), a neurotic psychiatrist in her late 30s. Stanislaus declares that he discovered opera star Maria Callas. Since she died in 1977 when Stanislaus was still a child, Cora is more than a little dubious about the claim. Nonetheless, she finds herself charmed and aroused by the mysterious stranger and eventually accepts an invitation to spend the night with him. He soon admits to being the Devil himself and begins to tempt her with his sexual charisma and various luxuries. The Great Bagarozy was a great critical and commercial success in its native Germany.
