Until recently, Nathalie’s life seemed perfectly in order: a vocation-driven career as a philosophy teacher, her own textbook series, a stable marriage of 25 years, and two almost grown-up children. But then everything changes. Her husband leaves her for another woman, her eccentric mother – who constantly demands Nathalie’s attention – has to move into a nursing home, and her publisher dismisses her books as outdated, demanding a complete overhaul. Yet Nathalie, who has always preferred great thoughts to great emotions, is determined to face life’s challenges with her head held high and to remain open to whatever the future may bring.
